Johnson Controls is a global leader in thermal management and building systems, focusing on energy efficiency and decarbonization. The Sprinkler Inspector role involves conducting inspections, testing, and maintenance on life safety product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on life safety product lines.
  • Accurately document deficiencies found during inspections.
  • Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections using communication devices.
  • Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
  • Make minor repairs and programming changes to inspected systems.
  • Complete assigned inspections on time.
  • Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
  • Assist in the installation of various sprinkler systems.
  • Perform work in unusual positions, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
  • Ability to obtain and retain required licenses by National, State, and Local codes.
  • Experience with various sprinkler and fire suppression systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operational manuals.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work in difficult positions and environments.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
