Overview

The Mechanic position in the US Army involves maintaining and repairing the Army's vehicles and machines, ensuring they operate effectively. This role encompasses a range of specialties, from heating and cooling mechanics to vehicle mechanics servicing various types of military vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and recovery operations on wheeled and select armored vehicles.
  • Inspect, service, maintain, repair, replace, adjust, and test wheeled vehicles and material handling equipment systems.
  • Work on automotive electrical systems, including wiring harnesses and starting and charging systems.
