Overview

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician IV to join their operations & maintenance team, responsible for providing advanced expertise in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on facility systems in a large industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to work orders and troubleshoot facility systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other industrial systems.
  • Identify and correct safety-related issues and perform equipment evaluations.
  • Follow safety guidelines including job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Diagnose and repair industrial facility equipment such as compressors, chillers, and pumps.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and actions as scheduled in the CMMS.
  • Troubleshoot and repair heat exchange equipment.
  • Weld and fabricate as needed.
  • Perform plumbing and hydraulic hose repairs.
  • Safely operate forklifts, hoists, and cranes.
  • Provide service and feedback to customers on work orders.
  • Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
  • Use measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments for energy efficiency solutions.
  • Maintain a strict schedule while demonstrating flexibility in daily activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
  • Five years of maintenance experience in Industrial HVAC, Industrial Mechanical Machine Repair, or Automotive Repair.
  • Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Strong electrical skill set including experience with control systems and 480V systems.
  • Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
