Overview

The Operator II role involves performing assembly, weld, x-ray, repair, and test operations on medical devices under general supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, welds, solders and x-rays medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable tools.
  • Examines medical devices after molding operations to locate bubbles, nicks and/or excess epoxy.
  • Utilizes small drills, reamers, taps and knives to access bubbles and remove excess epoxy.
  • Kits, assembles, bonds, coats and processes medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable tools.
  • Packages devices and related accessories using applicable tools and reviews all device documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Notifies supervisor of the need to replenish supplies/materials and of any production difficulties.
  • Supports all Company initiatives in compliance with Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant training/experience in the assembly of digital/analog circuitry or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year experience in the bio-medical field or in an air-conditioned clean room manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to multi-task and rotate through all jobs performed in the assigned work group.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to understand and comply with FDA regulations and Company operating procedures.
  • Must be able to lift up to approximately 25 pounds.
