Overview

Nothum is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to work in a team environment, focusing on the welding process for large-scale machinery with an emphasis on precision and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review blueprints and specifications before starting welding processes.
  • Select TIG welding equipment according to specifications or material type and thickness.
  • Tack weld parts to ensure proper alignment and fitting.
  • TIG weld stainless steel fittings and tubing into spools, manifolds, and custom fittings per print specifications.
  • Identify the need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintain weld recording and logging records.
  • Perform borescope inspections for weld defects.
  • Conduct visual weld inspections using various measuring tools.
  • Maintain strict attention to detail and produce high-quality parts.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations, including PPE usage.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior welding experience, preferably TIG.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Understanding of welding safety procedures.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to interpret engineering designs and documentation.
  • Understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Basic understanding of mathematics related to welding assignments.
