Overview

Smurfit Westrock is a leader in sustainable packaging, dedicated to creating efficient and scalable paper and packaging solutions. As an entry level multi craft Maintenance Technician, you will support the safe and reliable operation of automated industrial equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated industrial machinery.
  • Install, set up, and troubleshoot alternating current and direct current drives.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to diagnose equipment issues.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform basic welding and mechanical repair work.
  • Partner with team members to support production goals and continuous improvement.
  • Follow applicable safety, quality, and company standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of experience troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems.
  • Working knowledge of automated industrial machinery and electrical controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Basic welding skills and familiarity with pumps.
  • Computer literacy and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to work first shift and overtime as required.
  • Military technical training or completion of a relevant technical school program.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the corrugated packaging industry.

  • Compensation is $25.84 per hour.
  • Benefits available after 2 months of employment.
