Overview

The Plastics Molding Reliability Technician is responsible for ensuring the stability and efficiency of the production floor by collaborating with the Maintenance Manager to maximize equipment uptime and utilization. This role involves developing preventive maintenance procedures, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining records to support the overall operations of the plastics manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to sustain high uptime and optimal utilization across the plant.
  • Build, document, and continually improve preventive maintenance procedures for all capital assets.
  • Develop equipment specifications and recommend auxiliary or other capital purchases.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair facility and production equipment.
  • Operate mobile equipment such as skid loaders, scissor lifts, and forklifts as needed.
  • Maintain complete records including PM schedules, equipment installations, and work orders.
  • Manage the maintenance budget by tracking inventory and expenses.
  • Remain on call 24/7 to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Calibrate injection machine controls and verify specifications.
  • Provide technical support across facility systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and sustain a clean work area.
  • Uphold safe, orderly grounds and strong 5S housekeeping practices.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
