Overview

The Avionic and Harness Technician Senior is responsible for fabricating harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies for spacecraft and ground systems by interpreting blueprints and specifications. This role requires precise assembly and integration operations while ensuring product quality and adherence to engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems
  • Build and terminate high quality wiring harnesses for racks and boxes
  • Assemble wire harnesses per J‐STD‐001 space and NASA.STD.8739.4A
  • Use hand tools for repairing and troubleshooting electronic components
  • Utilize wire harnesses with equipment such as high potential testers, multimeters, and force gauges
  • Read schematics, harness wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, circuit layouts, and parts lists
  • Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications
  • Use computer applications for work documentation
  • Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair
  • Meet necessary certification as required
  • Perform incidental related duties as assigned or required
