Overview

Focus Factory Training is seeking a Structural Welding Instructor for onsite support at the Philadelphia, PA Focus Factories. The instructor will train supplier staff in various structural welding processes and related courses, reporting to the Chief of Training for Strategic Sourcing.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct multiple welding related classroom courses including Workmanship, AWPSS and Safety Briefs.
  • Instruct multiple structural related classroom courses.
  • Provide quality oversight of supplier embedded instructors to support site training needs.
  • Direct and assess hands-on training with practice and tests.
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations in training and during deck plate audits.
  • Assess student performance and identify nonconformance to policies, procedures and technical documents.
  • Support various course content reviews and related activities.
  • Conduct assessments as needed/scheduled.
  • Manage class rosters and training OQE submittal paperwork.
  • Meet with Focus Factory Leadership regarding student performance as needed.
  • Consistently grade tests and quizzes to ensure knowledge capture and understanding of training topics.
  • Communicate with other team members to advance work and communicate issues.
  • Support special training projects as required.
  • Support the Training department goals and objectives with other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Complete and maintain NDT requirements for Welding Qualifications.
  • Be ready to learn and take on additional responsibilities and duties as needed.

Additional Information

  • General first shift hours (7:00am – 3:30pm) with flexibility to adjust hours to support 2nd & 3rd shifts as needed.
  • Ability to work additional overtime as directed (including weekends).
  • Ability to support business travel approximately 20+% annually.
