Overview

The Product Engineer I position involves executing designs to support sales, engineering, and manufacturing efforts within the company, focusing on producing safe, technically accurate, and cost-effective designs.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales, manufacturing, and engineering efforts by creating necessary documentation, calculations, drawings, designs, and schematics.
  • Perform calculations and material selection to ensure compliance with quality assurance, sales, and customer requirements.
  • Manage drawing/design database including new drawings, calculators, design files, revisions, and archiving.
  • Create and review technical drawings and specifications.
  • Perform and evaluate simulations and calculations to test and validate designs and documentation.
  • Maintain and update all ISO, ASME, API, and other quality assurance requirements.
  • Expand knowledge of engineering and design quality standards and documentation.
  • Perform engineering and quality assurance checks prior to product shipment.
  • May perform other work-related functions as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 1-5 years of mechanical design experience, including internships.
  • Experience in Mechanical Design and Analysis.
  • Familiarity with ASME, ISO, and API compliance regulations preferred.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Experience with CAD Software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks 2016 or newer preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent initiative and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
