Overview

The Pipewelder position at Stellar Energy involves performing various welding functions on structural plate and 6G pipe using SMAW, FCAW, and GTAW techniques. Responsibilities

  • Understand job specific WPS/PQR's and set up machines for performance in all positions.
  • Analyze blueprints for welding insignia and assemble components on piping and structural systems.
  • Identify, measure, hand dress, cut, and fit prepare metal surfaces for welding.
  • Observe pre- and post-welded surfaces and interpret job requirements using precision measuring instruments.
  • Repair insufficient welds efficiently.
  • Monitor quality, safety, and health regulations while completing daily work assignments.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Requirements

  • Basic math and language skills required.
  • Experience in threading, grinding, welding, brazing, rigging, plasma cutting, gas arc cutting.
  • Related experience or training.
  • 6+ years' experience in Welding SMAW, FCAW and GTAW preferred.
  • 2 years of vocational technical training preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time position.
  • First shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Second shift is Monday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required.
  • Travel is primarily not required except for local travel during the business day.
  • This position operates out of a fabrication facility.
