Overview

Flightcheck Commercial Aviation, founded in 2004, is one of the largest Commercial Line Maintenance providers, offering technical handling, aircraft de-icing, and limited ground handling for over 25 Domestic and International Airlines. They are seeking an experienced AOG Sheet Metal Technician (Part-Time) to perform advanced sheet metal repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft structures while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize special skills such as close tolerance hole drilling, countersinking, fastener installation, shooting and/or bucking rivets, trimming, and the use of micrometers and calipers.
  • Perform complex sheet metal fabrication and repairs per technical drawings.
  • Make sheet metal layouts; set up and operate fabricating machinery; and ensure installations conform to specifications.
  • Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces for aircraft modification in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with FAA, OEM, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have a valid State Driver’s License.
  • Must have a valid Airframe License.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English and interpret technical data and special operating instructions.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
  • Must have 5+ years aircraft sheet metal experience.
  • Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must be able to climb ladders ranging from 6 to 10 feet tall.
  • Must have strong technical, leadership, and communication skills.
