Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining various facilities, production, and building equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental guidelines. This role is part of Amcor, a company focused on innovative and responsible packaging solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities
• Maintain control and motor systems
• Diagnose problems with equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed
• Communicate daily with Production and Shipping Managers
• Develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance team with the Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager
• Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area
• Research and purchase parts as needed for machine breakdowns and spare parts replacement
• Improve machine uptime by ensuring all CM's and PM's are properly performed and documented
• Support and comply with safety and environmental guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills
• Welding skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Advanced manufacturing mechanical experience
• Advanced manufacturing controls and wiring experience
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Strong electrical knowledge
• Basic understanding of motor controls and ability to read wiring diagrams
• MS Office literate
• No fear of heights
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Prior process machinery troubleshooting
