Overview

Demgy Chicago is a premiere Injection Molding Company seeking an experienced Moldmaker to join their team. The company values employee expertise and offers a collaborative work environment focused on quality and work/life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist with moldbuild projects.
  • Build tooling to specification within the scheduled time frame.
  • Ensure project completion to specification and on-time.
  • Communicate responsibilities and time frames to team members.
  • Assist in mold build projects as directed by the project leader.
  • Build assembly and machining fixtures.
  • Complete preventive maintenance, repairs, and insert changeovers on existing molds.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and completion of Trade School.
  • Prior experience as a Moldmaker or Moldmaker Apprentice for Plastic Injection Molding.
  • Ability to interpret part and mold drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to build injection molds to correct dimensions.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments.
  • Functional knowledge of computers, Windows operating system, and CAD/CAM software.
  • Functional knowledge of CNC, EDM, manual milling, and grinding equipment.
  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 55 lbs.
  • Vision 20/20 with or without correction.
