Overview

This position is for a Maintenance Technician / Shift Lead on the 2nd shift, responsible for supervising production personnel and maintaining manufacturing operations. The role involves achieving production goals while ensuring safety and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Achieve production goals in accordance with approved operational plans.
• Assign work to assembly and test staff in collaboration with the production team.
• Submit and review written input to support design efforts and increase production throughput.
• Participate in screening, interviewing, and selection of production staff.
• Ensure compliance of production staff with attendance, safety, and company policies.
• Train production staff members in manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with other shifts and support departments to resolve issues impacting results.
• Setup, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and ultrasonic equipment.
• Perform routine diagnostic checks and monitoring of automated systems.
• Support development and installation of new production processes.
• Perform preventive maintenance, line changeovers, and equipment repairs.
• Manage and sustain preventive maintenance activities using the PPM database.
• Create and update product drawings, fixturing, work instructions, and quality assurance requirements.
• Participate in overall improvement activities for safety, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Associates of Science in Engineering Discipline or 5 years demonstrated ability in the field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 years of direct supervision of personnel is preferred.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware and Rockwell RSLogix software preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.
• Strong math, computer, and electronics skills.
• Ability to identify and incorporate process and product improvements.
• Knowledge of staff timekeeping systems, preferably ADP.
• Basic skills in conflict management techniques.
• Ability to work independently and interact with all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of SPC and basic statistics preferred.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Additional Information

• This is a Second Shift role, working 4-10's (Mon-Thur 4:30pm-3:00am).
• 3 weeks of Paid Time Off, with carryover allowed.
