Overview

Planned Companies is hiring a Maintenance Technician to ensure the properties of its clients are clean, secure, and welcoming through routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of various equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure preventative maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and repair as required.
  • Check boiler and hot water heaters for leaks and report to management.
  • Schedule extermination procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain social areas or amenities as needed.
  • Assure walkways are clear and/or salted during inclement weather.
  • Inventory mechanical/maintenance supplies.
  • Troubleshoot tripped breakers, leaking pipes, and water intrusion.
  • Execute general repair of the building, including doors, filter changing, installation of floor covering, and light carpentry.
  • Maintain a log of all operating equipment inspections.
  • Inspect rooftop exhaust fans, cooling tower, and domestic water drives.
  • Ensure trash removal and maintain an organized trash area.
  • Replace light fixtures, branch switches, receptacles, and sockets when necessary.
  • Adjust locks and latches on doors, windows, and lockers.
  • Remove and replace all blown light bulbs.
  • Paint and plaster as required.
  • Maintain daily records of work performed.
  • Report necessary work to be done by outside mechanics and maintain a record of completed work.
  • Assist building management with all projects and other job duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong plumbing, electric, and carpentry experience.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills; bilingual preferred.
  • Good listener and able to accurately transmit information.
  • Reliable, highly organized, with attention to detail.
  • Courteous, friendly, hardworking, and professional.
  • Eager to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
  • Extremely dependable and reliable; must be flexible to work during emergency situations.
