Overview

As a Plant Mechanic at Banner Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring that facility systems such as boilers, chillers, and water systems operate smoothly. This hands-on position involves performing preventive maintenance, responding to service calls, and supporting safety and facility operations in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain power plant and facility utilities equipment and systems.
• Maintain and repair steam/hot water boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Maintain detailed logs on facility equipment and respond to maintenance calls.
• Assist in operating emergency generator systems and fire monitoring systems.
• Clean work areas and maintain tools and storage in an orderly manner.
• Drive company vehicles to transport equipment and personnel as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge, plus vocational or technical training.
• 1 year of experience as a Plant Mechanic with basic to intermediate skills in plant operations.
• Working knowledge of utility and infrastructure systems in a healthcare environment.
• Current Boiler Operator’s License if required by state or applicable authorities.
• Proficient in reading and understanding maintenance and construction documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely and effectively with infrastructure and utility equipment.

Additional Information

• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 6AM to 2:30PM.
• Location: Sun City West, Arizona.
