Overview

Viking is seeking motivated individuals for a hands-on Fabrication Production Associate position in a fast-paced fabrication shop that supports steel pipe fabrication, welding, machine operation, robotics, and material handling operations. This role involves various production activities and is suitable for candidates with backgrounds in manufacturing or general labor.

Responsibilities

  • Operate fabrication and production equipment including plasma cutting machines and grinders.
  • Support fabrication, production, welding, machine operation, robotics, and material handling activities.
  • Cut, groove, thread, grind, and prepare steel pipe and materials to specifications.
  • Assist with machine operation involving plasma cutting and welding support.
  • Read and interpret work orders and production paperwork for accuracy.
  • Visually inspect materials and products for defects and compliance.
  • Perform grinding, deburring, and general fabrication support activities.
  • Load, unload, stage, and move steel pipe and raw materials.
  • Bundle, band, label, and prepare finished products for shipment.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot minor production or machine issues and communicate concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and complete required training.
  • Support additional operational needs as assigned.

Requirements

  • Background in manufacturing, warehouse, machine operation, construction, welding, mechanical trades, or general labor.
  • Previous fabrication experience is helpful but not required.
