Overview

The Sheet Metal Fabricator and Assembler C will work on the Sheet Metal Fabrication Team, responsible for designing, building, and assembling complex sheet-metal components for missile systems, ensuring high-quality production for various missile programs.

Responsibilities

  • Layout, fabricate, assemble, install, and rework semi-complicated sheet-metal parts and assemblies.
  • Operate sheet-metal equipment such as brakes, rolls, routers, and hand tools to produce precision components.
  • Construct fixtures, templates, and form blocks; perform riveting, hand hammering, drilling, and reaming.
  • Assist senior fabricators on complex tasks, including rigging, shaft straightening, and special-equipment fabrication.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and keep the work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

  • Must have equivalent to a high school degree.
  • Candidates must be able to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 'D' weekend shift according to the collective bargaining agreement.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Experience with sheet metal brakes and shears.
  • Experience using sheet metal cutting tools.
  • At least one year of related experience.
