Overview

As the Sheet Metal Fabrication and Assembler C for Lockheed Martin's Grand Prairie team, you will perform complex sheet metal assembly operations to support the development of missile systems and other assemblies. This role emphasizes collaboration, precision, and innovation in delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Performing sheet metal assembly operations on complex parts, details, and assemblies.
  • Constructing simple checking and holding fixtures, making simple templates and form blocks.
  • Assembling semi-complicated assemblies, riveting, hand hammering, and performing close tolerance drilling and reaming.
  • Operating sheet metal equipment such as brakes, rolls, and routers, and using hand tools as required.
  • Fabricating special equipment as needed and assisting with more difficult work, including rigging operations and straightening of shafts and beams.
  • Maintaining required paperwork and keeping your work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

  • Must have equivalent to a high school degree.
  • All candidates must be U.S. citizens due to facility requirements.
  • Prior experience in riveting and nut plates is desired.
  • Ability to read blueprints is preferred.
