Overview

The Supervisory Pipefitter position at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center involves maintaining the plumbing and steam systems critical for the facility's operations. The role requires oversight of various trades and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise plumbing, pipefitting, steam fitting, machining, welding, and brazing work.
  • Maintain and repair systems including domestic water, medical gas, and fire sprinkler systems.
  • Plan and administer building operations and renovation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for project design reviews.

Requirements

  • Evidence of training or experience in relevant plumbing and pipefitting work.
  • Ability to interpret instructions and specifications, including blueprints.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Physical fitness to perform duties in uncomfortable and hazardous conditions.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm.
  • Position involves working in various weather conditions and potentially dangerous environments.
