Responsibilities

• Perform duties assigned under the direction of Shop Manager to align with team goals.
• Oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis on equipment failures.
• Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications.
• Document repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
• Handle emergency service calls to keep operations moving.
• Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of mechanical or related experience.
• Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience a plus.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
• Strong understanding of mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures.
• Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
• Valid driver's license; able to pass drug test and background check.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
• Coachable and eager to learn.
