Responsibilities

  • Utilize SOP's and demonstrate correct selection and application of fasteners, fittings, and components.
  • Utilize necessary documentation including bill of materials and assembly drawings.
  • Identify non-conforming parts and recommend modifications.
  • Provide input for assembly procedures and product improvement.
  • Ensure all machines are assembled to data sheets.
  • Assist with customer demos and checkouts.
  • Communicate and resolve production and technical problems.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Recognize and report unsafe working conditions.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions.
  • Safely operate all hand tools and power tools.
  • Perform H S & E audits and meetings as required.
  • Complete knowledge of service guidelines and company procedures.
  • Act as primary communication contact for service team.
  • Record keeping of jobs and follow proper procedures for engineering changes.
  • Coordinate team resources including working hours and safety rules.
  • Demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and teambuilding skills.
  • Operate in a Group Leader capacity and provide input for performance reviews.
  • Work closely with engineers in problem solving and assembly improvements.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Two year technical degree in mechanical systems or equivalent experience plus five years applicable experience.
  • 7-10 years of related maintenance experience in a converting facility preferred.
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of assembly drawing blueprints at a complex level.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic components.
  • Mechanical assembly skills on large equipment a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and debug machinery.
  • Trained and knowledgeable in Mechanical Assembly Standards and Engineering Standards.
