Job Description

Overview

The Senior Technician in Facility Services General Maintenance is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality. The role includes training less-experienced associates, managing work orders, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities and equipment.
  • Documents preventive maintenance activities and repair needs.
  • Uses heavy machinery and tools for repairs and maintenance.
  • Delivers hands-on training sessions for Technician-level associates.
  • Oversees work of less-experienced associates and serves as a job foreman.
  • Diagnoses problems using blueprints and repair manuals.
  • Responds to emergency calls and documents repair activities.
  • Manages parts inventory and orders replacement equipment.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, or related area, or 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, or related area.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
  • No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
  • No more than two moving violations in the last three years.
  • No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
