Responsibilities

  • Operates complex equipment or automated machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or move products.
  • Maintains and monitors machinery and tools to ensure proper function.
  • Calculates and derives dimensional information from drawings.
  • Completes required paperwork accurately.
  • Sets up, loads, operates, diagnoses, debugs, and troubleshoots manufacturing equipment.
  • Develops and performs Standard Work Instructions and requests changes as needed.
  • Performs SPC/Quality checks using measuring tools and reacts to specification data.
  • Teaches and assists in developing safety guidelines.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment according to safety guidelines.
  • Leads and participates in improvement activities.
  • Reads and interprets routings, drawings, and BOM to ensure quality expectations.
  • Rotates through department workstations based on business needs.
  • Trains others and assists in developing training tools.
  • Communicates and interprets written and verbal instructions.
  • Maintains regular attendance based on scheduled hours.
  • Works overtime as needed and has flexibility in hours.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in reading dimensional production drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in using information system computer databases.
  • Competent in basic math skills.
  • Preferred advanced math skills related to operating advanced systems.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and devices.
  • Ability to develop, perform, and teach preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team.
