Overview

Freeberg Industrial Fabrication is a metal manufacturer located in Eloy, Arizona, seeking an experienced welder with at least 5 years of fabrication experience. The role involves utilizing MIG and TIG welding techniques to fabricate structural parts.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize MIG and TIG welding to join, fabricate, and repair metal parts.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine appropriate welding processes.
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy and structural soundness.
  • Complete traveler paperwork and computer data entry for work completed.
  • Follow company safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to pass weld certification tests.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competent in basic shop math.
  • Read, write, and understand English.

Additional Information

  • Full-time position with first and second shifts available, Monday to Friday.
  • Must pass a drug test, physical, and background check.
  • 90-day provisionary period with benefits starting after 60 days.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
