Overview

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team, dedicated to producing quality mechanical power transmission components and systems. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose equipment and machinery issues to identify root causes of failures.
  • Repair machinery and equipment as needed and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain facilities equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Conduct maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems across facilities.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including lockout and tagout procedures.
  • Accurately document all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used.
  • Assist in other areas or departments as assigned to support production needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years in a manufacturing or facilities maintenance role.
  • Ability to perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
  • Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC machinery.
  • Proficient in working with 110V, 220V, and 480V electrical systems.
  • Physically capable of lifting and positioning heavy components safely.
  • Able to perform tasks independently and collaborate with team members.
  • Consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required for tasks.
  • Comfortable working in variable temperature settings.
