Overview

The Retention Laser Technician at Agiliti is responsible for maintaining professional relationships with physicians and hospital staff, ensuring their needs are met while supporting surgical cases. This role involves both technical duties as a Laser Technician and strategic engagement with physicians to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the physician contact for strategic surgeons needing support.
• Work with surgeons during surgical cases, providing in-services, education, and case support.
• Become a subject matter expert with assigned lasers.
• Be present in the operating room during procedures as required by physicians.
• Remove, clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical equipment post-procedures.
• Communicate defects or maintenance needs of vehicles and equipment to stakeholders.
• Transport equipment to ensure availability for procedures.
• Complete daily administrative tasks including work orders, equipment logs, and incident reporting.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety protocols.
• Obtain and maintain various certifications as required.
• Maintain Department of Transportation and CPR certification.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Travel within the assigned Division as necessary.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience preferred.
• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to eighty pounds and push or pull up to one hundred pounds.
• Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods and perform various physical activities.
