Overview

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space. The Vacuum Jacketed Line Pipe Welder role involves fabricating and welding hardware for spaceflight systems, requiring a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld hardware for various spaceflight systems using TIG welding techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to ASME B31.3 standards during fabrication.
  • Collaborate with engineering to implement and refine manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute to safety, quality, and productivity in manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of GTAW welding experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in stainless steel cryogenic installations.
  • 5+ years of experience welding materials such as stainless, Inconel, or Monel.
  • Ability to fabricate and use large cutting saws, punches, formers, brakes, and standard hand tools.
  • Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to change into or out of personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% supporting vendor and Blue Origin test facilities.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S.
