Overview

M&N Structures, Inc. is a structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator located in Winsted, MN, serving customers primarily in the upper Midwest. The company is growing and values the relationships built with customers and industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Read shop drawings to understand necessary production process and weld symbols.
  • Load and unload work area using forklifts.
  • Layout fabrication assemblies and fit parts to them.
  • Complete welds indicated using wire feed spray transfer (MIG).
  • Cut parts with oxy-fuel or plasma torch, grind parts or welds as required.
  • Adhere to established quality standards and check quality of work.
  • Document the work performed using computer software systems.
  • Set up and maintain equipment including preventative maintenance.
  • Manage needed consumables to ensure required tools are available.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety regulations.
  • Complete work and adjust priorities to maintain established production schedules.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Vocational or Technical degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years previous work experience in a related field preferred.
  • Previous welding certifications a plus.
  • Must be able to work in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Ability to think creatively and apply that thinking to solving problems.
  • Commitment to serve customers, clients, vendors, team, and industry partners.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and handle communication honestly.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing as a part of the team.
  • Must be able to pass a welding test and be certified for 2G unlimited thickness.
  • Knowledge of Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Fabrication processes.
  • Comfortable with lifting large, awkward, and heavy loads using forklifts.
  • Ability to read and understand measuring devices such as a tape measure.
  • Ability to work with computers, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Must have good time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
