Job Description

Overview

Davenport Manufacturing Group (DMG) is a full-service metal fabrication provider with 34 years of tier one-supplier OEM experience, currently seeking skilled applicants for various production opportunities on the 1st Shift.

Responsibilities

  • Use tools including drills, rivet guns, and hand tools for assembly parts.
  • Install handle systems, sound insulation, hinges, and other components to create subassemblies.
  • Interface with computers to gather part specifications and drawings.
  • Inspect and package parts.
  • Perform MIG welding and finish grinding using fabrication techniques.
  • Read blueprints to build parts to customer specifications.
  • Weld materials such as mild, galvanneal, and stainless steel.
  • Perform TIG welding, saw cutting, dual-action sanding, drilling, and tapping.
  • Work in other departments as needed.
  • Operate laser cutting machines to fabricate metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify product accuracy.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
