Overview

Globe is seeking experienced pipe fitters who take pride in turning isometric drawings into accurate, high-quality piping assemblies. The company supports power generation, manufacturing, data centers, and other critical industries, demanding craftsmen who know their trade.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret isometric drawings and project specifications to lay out and assemble piping spools.
  • Fit, align, and two-hole fittings, flanges, and related components in preparation for welding.
  • Verify dimensions, flange orientation, and component alignment to meet drawing requirements and specified tolerances.
  • Work closely with welders to ensure accurate fit-up and proper joint preparation.
  • Utilize overhead cranes and rigging equipment to safely maneuver materials and piping assemblies.
  • Record and maintain material heat numbers and traceability throughout fabrication.
  • Work closely with welders, inspectors, and supervisors to meet quality standards and production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow company safety procedures.
  • Assist with other fabrication and material handling tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience fitting and fabricating piping spools from isometric drawings.
  • Ability to independently read an isometric drawing and translate it into a dimensionally accurate, properly oriented piping assembly.
  • Working knowledge of pipe fitting practices, joint preparation, and fit-up techniques.
  • Ability to accurately use tape measures, angle finders, squares, two-hole pins, and levels.
  • Experience safely operating overhead cranes, using rigging equipment, and handling piping assemblies.
  • Proficiency with common hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic fabrication equipment.
  • Attention to detail in both workmanship and material traceability.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and coordinate effectively with other skilled craftsmen.
  • Reliable attendance and a commitment to safe, consistent work.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Willingness to work overtime when project schedules require.

Additional Information

  • Full-time position.
  • Pay ranges from $28.00 to $36.00 per hour.
  • Expected hours are 40.0 to 60.0 per week.
  • Relocation to New Pekin, IN 47165 is required before starting work.
  • Work location is in person.
