Overview

The Ops Support Boilermaker 4 position at Capstone Copper involves working as part of a team to perform welding, fabrication, and maintenance activities in support of mining operations, with a strong emphasis on safety and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and fitting activities according to engineered drawings.
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of fabricated systems and processing equipment.
  • Participate in safety meetings and actively engage in safety activities.
  • Work effectively with Processing Technicians and other departments.
  • Safely operate vehicles and communicate by radio in the field.
  • Analyze engineering drawings to determine appropriate welding operations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to weld and fabricate to engineered drawings.
  • Successful completion of required 3G and 4G welding qualification tests.
  • Experience in welding and cutting.
  • Basic understanding of installation and maintenance of fabricated systems.
  • Knowledge of confined space procedures and fall protection training.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License.
  • Ability to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.
