Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finish TIG Welder to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise TIG welding to complete high-quality metal fabrications and assemblies, ensuring all welds meet strict quality standards and adhere to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform finish TIG welding on various metal materials, ensuring clean, accurate, and durable welds.
  • Prepare workpieces by cleaning, clamping, and positioning materials accurately using hand tools and power tools.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct quality inspections of completed welds using visual inspection techniques and measuring instruments.
  • Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, fabrication processes, and troubleshooting to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in metal fabrication shops or construction sites with a focus on TIG welding techniques.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes including TIG (GTAW).
  • Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work.
  • Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, mechanical fabrication, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly tasks.
  • Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
