Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic position in Richmond, CA involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing routine and corrective maintenance on shop equipment to support production lines. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair production equipment, including welders and grinders.
  • Repair broken parts using hand tools and welding equipment in compliance with safety policies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to diagnose problems.
  • Complete work orders as assigned.
  • Install new equipment and suggest improvements in line with maintenance plans.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field or vocational certificate/training preferred.
  • Mechanical skills required.
  • Skills in welding and cutting necessary.
  • Decision making and reasoning skills needed.
  • Ability to speak, understand, and read English proficiently preferred.
