Overview

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to observe, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various equipment in a dynamic and growing environment. Responsibilities

  • Observe, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair printing equipment, press parts, electrical problems, and other equipment throughout the facility.
  • Set up and operate drills, grinders, welders, and other necessary tools and equipment to make and repair presses and component parts.
  • Operate forklifts and/or scissor lifts while wearing required safety equipment.
  • Initiate purchase orders for items necessary to repair or replace component parts or other related equipment and maintain all records related to those purchases.
  • Perform preventive maintenance functions on equipment according to scheduled maintenance programs.
  • Work constructively and communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Provide a reliable summary email of open and closed maintenance tasks to leadership daily.
  • Keep office and shop areas organized and clean according to company guidelines.
  • Maintain attendance according to facility guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, and other job-related written documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees throughout the facility.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials.
  • Frequently required to move throughout the facility.
  • Regularly lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25 pounds or more.
