Overview

The Pipefitter position at the Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) involves the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of facility piping and plumbing systems across various ECHCS locations, including the Denver Campus and Fitzsimmons Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, modifies, repairs, and maintains high temperature water and high-pressure piping systems.
  • Installs and repairs steam generators, vacuum, medical gas, air, water, and condensate pumps.
  • Adjusts, maintains, and installs plumbing and steam fixtures and their allied equipment.
  • Performs new installations of plumbing and steam equipment from layout to finished job.
  • Repairs, maintains, adjusts, installs, and improves plumbing and heating equipment.
  • Conducts safety and preventative maintenance inspections of systems and equipment.
  • Fits and installs new hospital and laboratory plumbing fixtures.
  • May be assigned to operate the steam production plant and perform related maintenance and repair duties.
  • Expected to change shifts on short notice and perform pipefitting repairs during non-duty hours.

Additional Information

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.
  • Physical requirements include working in hard-to-reach places and lifting equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Work conditions may involve exposure to dirty, dusty, and greasy environments.
