Overview

The Welding & Automation Specialist - West position at Airgas involves growing the rental, lease, and sales of specialty welding products while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with sales teams and end users to expand sales channels and provide solutions.

Responsibilities

• Grow rental, lease, and sales of Red D Arc Specialty Products.
• Follow up on sales leads and prepare quotes.
• Produce conceptual Hard Automation application drawings.
• Develop end user customer bases through effective communication.
• Expand Weld Automation sales channels and develop new ones.
• Make application recommendations for Weld Automation products.
• Train field sales teams and Airgas Adv. Fab Specialists.
• Initiate relationships with Red-D-Arc Sales Leaders.
• Coordinate and perform onsite equipment setup and demonstrations.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Represent the company at trade association meetings and trade shows.
• Cold-call and compile potential customer leads.
• Maintain accurate reports including business plans and forecasts.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Greater than five years sales experience in Weld Process Sales.
• Strong background in all welding processes with emphasis on automation and SAW.
• Certifications such as CWI, CWE, CRAW, CWS, NCCER instructor.
• Ability to develop and execute market/business plans.
• Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying expectations.
• Strong technical, oral, and writing skills.
• Ability to effectively present information in business settings.
• Intermediate computer experience with all MS Office products.
