Overview

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician IV to join their operations & maintenance team, responsible for advanced expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance in a large industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced expertise in responding to work orders and troubleshooting.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on facility systems including HVAC, compressors, chillers, and other equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot industrial facility equipment and systems.
  • Identify and correct safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations.
  • Follow safety guidelines including job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and perform required actions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC machinery and cooling systems.
  • Perform plumbing and hydraulic hose repairs.
  • Safely operate forklifts, hoists, and cranes.
  • Respond to work orders and provide service and feedback to customers.
  • Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
  • Operate various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments.
  • Maintain a strict schedule while demonstrating flexibility in day-to-day activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
  • Five years of maintenance experience in Industrial HVAC/Mechanical Machine Repair or Automotive Repair.
  • Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Strong electrical skill set including experience with control systems and 480V systems.
  • Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
