Overview

Thompson Pipe Group is a family-built company and North America’s most diverse provider of drainage, sanitary, pressure, and trench-less pipe. The Concrete Pipe Manufacturing Operations Lead will oversee nightly operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Own nightly execution across pipe finishing, outlets/specials, and loading.
  • Stage and coordinate material deliveries to keep work flowing.
  • Champion safety, quality, and throughput with a strong on-floor presence.
  • Create and track action plans to meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Monitor policy compliance, drive productivity, and evaluate personnel.
  • Interpret blueprints/specifications; apply welding knowledge to resolve issues.
  • Verify quality to ensure products meet drawings and customer expectations.
  • Lead communications and training to upskill the team.
  • Complete administrative requirements per company procedures.
  • Maintain order and strive for zero defects/incidents.

Requirements

  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication (speak, read, write).
  • 2+ years leading in manufacturing or production support.
  • Welding knowledge and technical aptitude.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.

  • Shift: 5 p.m. – 5 a.m.
  • Work in an outdoor plant environment with exposure to heat, cold, rain, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures, and around moving machinery.
