Overview

At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, the Industrial Maintenance Tech 2 is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant production through various maintenance tasks. The role requires advanced mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs on production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document advanced electrical and mechanical diagnostics and repairs on production equipment.
  • Document routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and maintain fluid levels and change filters in machinery.
  • Operate forklifts and aerial lifts as required, including pre-operational inspection and log.
  • Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all areas in the facility and maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work area.
  • Maintain and document chemical concentration levels in industrial parts washers and maintain non-hazardous waste collection and storage areas.
  • Prepare waste material containers for shipment per EHS guidelines, including proper labeling and documentation.
  • Operate and maintain fluids filtration equipment and clean machinery.
  • Report defects, damages, and malfunctions of any kind to the supervisor.
  • Comply with all corporate policies and OSHA rules while working.
  • Adhere to all EH&S guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this position.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED and 4+ years relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • General mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or fluid power systems.
  • Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, and Power Point) required.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
