Overview

The Precision Assembler role involves assembling, adjusting, testing, and documenting control valves and related equipment with a focus on precision and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble control valves, actuators, positioners, and accessory packages following approved assembly procedures.
  • Install and align valve trim components including plugs, seats, cages, stems, packing, gaskets, retainers, and bolting.
  • Assemble pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, and digital valve positioners, including mounting brackets and electrical connections.
  • Set up, stroke, calibrate, and function-test control valves and positioners.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools.
  • Identify and correct assembly issues such as misalignment and air leaks.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Verify that materials and components match the production order before and during assembly.
  • Document assembly, inspection, calibration, testing, and nonconformance activities accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Report quality concerns and process-improvement opportunities to relevant teams.
  • Support troubleshooting, repair, and rework of returned or nonconforming valve assemblies.
  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, planning, test, and shipping teams to meet production schedules.
