Overview

Doodie Calls, LLC. provides sanitation services for various sectors and values each staff member's contribution to success. The Trailer Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailers and related equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on trailers and related equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, lighting, wiring, batteries, and power distribution components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including water lines, pumps, valves, sinks, tanks, and restroom fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including minor repairs and complete unit replacements.
  • Install and replace accessories, dispensers, signage, decals, and safety equipment.
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections and ensure all units are deployment ready.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records within company asset management systems.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with asset intake, fleet audits, inventory control, and asset tracking.
  • Support emergency deployments, disaster response operations, and special event mobilizations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in trailer, RV, fleet, mobile equipment, or related repair and maintenance fields.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, schematics, and work orders.
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other shop equipment safely.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • This position operates primarily in a shop and yard environment with occasional travel.
  • Extended hours, weekends, and travel may be required during emergency operations.
