Overview

Nordic Solutions is urgently seeking highly skilled OD, ID, and Cylindrical CNC and Manual Grinders to support precision manufacturing projects across the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced grinders who take pride in their craft, enjoy challenging work, and are comfortable traveling to different manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate OD, ID, and cylindrical CNC and manual grinding equipment.
  • Grind complex, one-off, prototype, and low-volume production components.
  • Dress and maintain grinding wheels to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes.
  • Troubleshoot grinding processes and resolve dimensional or quality issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
  • Perform detailed in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Adapt quickly to new equipment, processes, and manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of verifiable experience in OD, ID, or cylindrical CNC and/or manual grinding.
  • Strong hands-on experience producing high-precision, tight-tolerance components.
  • Proven ability to set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot grinding equipment.
  • Manual grinding experience strongly preferred.
  • CNC grinding experience is a plus.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
  • Experience with hardened steels, exotic materials, or high-alloy materials preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationwide.
