Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support mining operations across the Southwest. This role is primarily field-based, working out of a company-provided service truck to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Komatsu mining equipment on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on large mining equipment.
  • Work primarily in the field using a fully equipped service truck.
  • Support equipment including Komatsu haul trucks, large excavators, and dozers.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, schematics and systems troubleshooting.
  • Perform complex, high accuracy repairs and determine appropriate repair methods.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and complete all levels of equipment repairs.
  • Inspect tooling and PPE regularly.
  • Communicate potential issues to leadership.
  • Share relevant customer or vendor feedback.
  • Maintain top technical competency and assist service crews as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience maintaining mining equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read prints and complete repairs to OEM specifications.
  • Able to work in the field for 4 - 6 weeks at a time, up to 70 hour weeks.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, low voltage electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
  • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or 1 year technical college program is a plus.
