Job Description

Overview

At ENERCON, we are pioneers of innovation in the energy, power, and technology industries. As a Part-Time Winter/Spring Intern in Asset Integrity & Corrosion Control, you will gain hands-on experience supporting projects that help keep critical energy infrastructure safe and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Support projects related to corrosion prevention and pipeline integrity.
  • Learn about inspection processes and industry standards.
  • Contribute to real-world engineering projects alongside experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in a preferred major.
  • Pursuing a mechanical engineering degree or other related majors.
  • Targeted to graduate between December 2027 and May 2028.
  • Available to start as a PT Intern in January or February 2027.
  • Must be local to the greater Atlanta area and able to work a minimum of 16 hours a week.
  • Completed a minimum of 2+ years of coursework.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD and/or Civil3D.
  • Prior intern/engineering work experience is highly considered.
  • Interest in energy and/or oil and gas pipeline system designs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and as an individual contributor.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.
