Overview

Subcool Mechanical Inc. is looking for a Sheet Metal Journeyman or experienced Sheet Metal Apprentice to join their growing team. They seek dependable, skilled individuals committed to completing quality installations safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, repair, and maintain sheet metal and HVAC systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and installation plans
  • Measure, cut, fabricate, and install sheet metal components
  • Install ductwork, fittings, hangers, supports, and related HVAC components
  • Perform layout and field measurements as required
  • Work alongside plumbers, gasfitters, HVAC technicians, and other trades
  • Identify installation issues and assist with troubleshooting and solutions
  • Ensure work meets project specifications, applicable codes, and company quality standards
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and an organized work area
  • Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures
  • Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Requirements

  • Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker or experienced Sheet Metal Apprentice
  • Previous commercial and/or industrial sheet metal and HVAC experience
  • Strong understanding of ductwork installation and sheet metal fabrication
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
  • Comfortable using standard sheet metal and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
  • Valid driver's licence preferred
  • Willingness to travel or work out of town when required
