Overview

Wabtec is seeking a Welder for their Jackson, TN location, where you will work with a talented team to deliver quality products while prioritizing safety and continuous improvement. The role involves following engineering drawings and work instructions to assemble various products and ensure they meet specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Position, align, and fit components together.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, or submerged arc welding equipment.
  • Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Perform other duties outside of your function or trade as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • 1+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • MIG weld 2G capability/experience is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend industrial blueprints.
  • Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment needed for assembly operations.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and be a good team player.

  • Position based at Jackson, TN location.
  • Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
