Overview

The Production Leadership Trainee is a career-development position designed to develop future production leaders within TRILAD. The individual will receive hands-on training in TRILAD's manufacturing processes and progressively learn to operate and become proficient in production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and become proficient in the operation of CNC, manual machining, welding, and other production equipment.
  • Develop a strong understanding of TRILAD's manufacturing processes, products, equipment, and quality requirements.
  • Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Learn to read and understand drawings, specifications, work instructions, and production requirements.
  • Develop the ability to identify and troubleshoot production and equipment issues.
  • Learn production planning, scheduling, workflow, and resource requirements.
  • Develop an understanding of production performance, productivity, quality, scrap, downtime, and other key metrics.
  • Work with experienced machinists, welders, supervisors, and managers to develop technical and leadership skills.
  • Progress from learning and operating equipment to taking responsibility for production activities and teams.
  • Develop the ability to train, coach, and lead production employees.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Take on increasing responsibility as technical knowledge and leadership capability develop.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical school, machining, welding, manufacturing, or related education preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong interest in learning manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to take on increasing responsibility and develop into a production leader.
