Overview

Divergent is building the new industrial age by designing, manufacturing, and assembling advanced systems for demanding industries. The Assembly & Test Technician role involves hands-on assembly, integration, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and manufacturing execution of mechanical and electromechanical sub-assemblies used in large-format laser powder bed fusion 3D printers.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and integrate mechanical and electromechanical LPBF printer sub-assemblies using engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Install mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluid, motion, sensor, wiring, harness, and related hardware.
  • Perform precision fastening, torqueing, alignment, leveling, measurement, and dimensional verification.
  • Verify hardware configuration, workmanship, and dimensional requirements.
  • Identify missing, damaged, or incorrectly configured components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production priorities.
  • Perform functional and acceptance testing of completed sub-assemblies.
  • Configure and operate test equipment and evaluate test results.
  • Troubleshoot test failures and verify hardware performance.
  • Apply structured troubleshooting methods to hardware issues.
  • Use ERP and manufacturing systems to record work orders and production status.
  • Identify opportunities to improve assembly sequence and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Ability to lawfully access information subject to US export controls.
  • Relevant hands-on experience in mechanical assembly or related technical field.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience performing mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use ERP or similar systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (8-hour shifts).
